How much does this training cost?
This training is absolutely FREE of charge! We are able to provide this e-training tool thanks to the generous funding of Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
What do I need in order to access this training?
All you need is access to a computer with internet! It’s that simple. Even if you do not have a computer at home, you can go to your local library or community centre to use a computer.
I am not a Permanent Resident. Can I register?
According to the CIC website, the average waiting time to obtain the Canadian citizenship is currently 25 months. We strongly recommend you to wait at least until you have applied for your Canadian Citizenship and received the study guide for the citizenship test before enrolling in this online training program.
I live in a province where you are not offering the training. Can I register anyway?
Yes, In fact, we encourage you to register. Once we have received your registration, a member from our team will contact you to get more details and provide you with information.
Which internet browser works best with your online citizenship services?
Our online training service works best with the latest versions of Internet Explorer (IE 11), Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox. For the best experience using our online services, we recommend that you always keep your web browsers up to date. Below is a list of where to get the latest browser software.

Please send us the details of the technical issue you are experiencing by using the ‘Having technical issues?’ feature found in the bottom right-hand corner of every page on the e-training website.
Are the citizenship practice questions the same ones on the citizenship test?
Our practice quizzes questions were developed internally, they do not represent the same questions as the official citizenship test. All questions are based on the official “Discover Canada” Guide.
Is this training offered in languages other than English and French?
The content of the e-training site is only offered in the official languages in Canada. However, the Online Citizenship Preparation training includes Google translator and an English Dictionary, so you can increase your vocabulary and understand the content of the ‘Discover Canada’ guide if you need assistance with some of the content.

I am a service provider. Can I have access to the training?
Absolutely. Please contact us through our toll free number 1-855-757-7010 or by email at info-facpp@cathcrosscultural.org. Service Provider accounts have access to Module 1 and the other website sections. The purpose of these accounts is to provide Service Providers with enough information to make an informed referral to their clients.
Is there a fee to access this service?
The Online Citizenship Preparation Training services are offered free of charge and it is funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
Who is eligible for this service?
Permanent Residents who have already applied for Canadian Citizenship, and who possess basic to intermediate internet and computer skills, are eligible for this service.
Is this training offered in languages other than English and French?
In order to prepare users for the real-life testing scenario, the content of the e-training site is only offered in the official languages of Canada. However, the Online Citizenship Preparation training includes an integrated Google translator and an English Dictionary so participants can increase their vocabulary and understand the content of the ‘Discover Canada’ guide.
